Dear Resident,
Val de Vie Estate Maintenance appointed Voltano to replace water meters nearing their end of life. Only the older meters will be replaced; some are in areas where new ones are already installed. The replacement will be done in phases.
To lessen the downtime and impact, as you will have no water in your house during the replacement phase, the work will be divided into replacing three to five water meters in a specific area at a time. The team will return to install the remaining meters later, meaning you will receive more than one notification informing you of when water will be shut down in your area.
To further reduce downtime, the team will open water meter boxes by removing paving, plants etc., around the meters in preparation for the installation. This is necessary to assess the prevailing circumstances when the work at each water meter will be done. Once the meter has been replaced, an approved contractor will ensure that the garden and paving are re-instated.
The initial assessment/preparation work will start today, Tuesday, 4 July 2023. Notifications will then be sent to you about when the water will be shut down in your area. We will let you know two days before each planned water shutdown. Each shutdown period will be between three to five hours in duration.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Best regards
The Maintenance Team
